The Liberia National Police Detachment in Ganta City, has ordered the arrest and sent to court over 40 alleged notorious criminals.
Saturday, 15th August, Nimba County joint security embarked on an exercise to raid out criminals in and around Ganta City.
The decision to arrest criminals arose from several complaints being raised by residents and the perpetual harassment by unknown individuals at night in and around the City of Ganta.
According to reports, during the late evening hours, in streets and communities, criminals intimidate residents with deadly weapons including cutlasses, knives, among others and make away with several valuable items.
Recently Ganta, has been overwhelmed by group of criminals, thereby making movement difficult at night amongst residents and passerby.
The alleged criminals were collected for crimes including burglary, harassment and arm robbery.
Meanwhile, the police has pressed charges and sent to Sanniquellie to face court trials.
