Prior to his public pronouncement that he is suspending his membership from the Collaborating Political Parties (CPP) for not getting support after he was allegedly attacked by youths of Grand Gedeh County a month ago, unconfirmed information filtering in our news room has disclosed that the tough-talking and critic of the Liberian presidency is making some preparations to join the ruling party, and forgo the hatred he has had for the Liberian presidency.
According to report which is yet to be confirmed, the Montserrado County District # 10 is reportedly craving an audience with the leadership of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) for what our source called to ‘Seek a common ground’, putting behind him the past.
Information also gathered revealed that the leadership of the CDC is yet to receive any information regarding the intent of the Montserrado County lawmaker to join the party, but also noted that its doors are open for any Liberian who wish to be a part of the Party’s quest for the country to move forward for the benefit of all Liberians.
Effort by our team of reporters who visited the office of Representative Kolubah to verify the information about his alleged interest to join the ruling party, proved unsuccessful, as our reporters were told he was not available to talk to any reporter.
It is not still clear as to what gave rise to such arrangement, and whether the leadership of the CDC will allow such a person who was always insulting the Liberian presidency, and the top leadership of the ruling Party.
Last week Representative Yekeh Kolubah publicly declared that he has decided suspended his membership with the Collaborating Political Parties, for what he described as the lack of support to speak on his recent attack in Grand Gedeh County by youth groups.
Addressing a news conference today in Monrovia, Representative Kolubah said since the incident in Grand Gedeh County where his life was threatened, the CPP is yet to come out and condemn this ’life threatening situation on the part of the leadership of the CPP.
“Since I was threatened and chased out of the County while on a county tour along with the Chairman of the CPP. Mr. Alexander Cummings, up to present there has been not statement from the CPP to condemn this act, for this reason I am for now suspending my membership with the Collaborating Political Parties with immediate effect”, Representative Kolubah told journalists at a well-attended news conference last week.
