Let Liberia Be On The Alert, As Reported Ebola Outbreak Hits Neighbouring Guinea

Liberia’s poorer borders between neighbouring Guinea will shortly be overwhelmed as the reported outbreak of the deadly Ebola virus has hit Guinea, a situation that has created serious fear in Liberians many of whom who lost their relatives in the hands of this virus.

The reported outbreak of this virus in Guinea has put six bordering nations on alert, while the World Health Organization has begun a mass vaccination programme.

According to media reports, So far, 18 people have contracted the virus and nine have died.

Health authorities in Liberia are said to be preparing for the worst fight again this deadly virus which seven years ago came across the Guinea border that led to the death of over 5,000 people.

The survivors still bear the mental and physical scars and this latest outbreak is bringing back difficult memories.
