This month we bring you another segment of our ‘Personality Of The Month’, this time capturing one of Liberia’s youthful business tycoon; a man who begin his success story at an early age as a proprietor of a local travel agency in the early 1980, now a petroleum giant here in Liberia.
GNN-Liberia Personality of the Month is no other but the Chief Executive Officer of the Kailondo Group of Companies, Attorneys George B. Kailondo, Sr.; a man whose primary objective is to see his country, Liberia ascending to the highest top in a glamorous business setting aimed at empowering his fellow compatriots through jobs creation.
“Georgee” as he is affectionately call, chain of businesses including the distribution of Petroleum products throughout the country with service stations, hotels, transportation, legal firm, Radio/TV station, and providing Micro financing providing jobs opportunity to hundreds of jobless Liberians around the country where his businesses are being felt.
The ‘soft-spoken’ George Kailondo has always been on the frontline for his home country, Liberia making sure that the peaceful existence of his fellow compatriots is well guarded; his political affiliation being a founding member of the ruling Congress for Democratic Change (CDC), now Coalition for Democratic Change was well noted during the genesis of the Party.
A product of the nation’s highest institution of learning, the University of Liberia, is also a recipient of several accolades for his services to the people of Liberia backed with his religious contributions as a child of God; religiously molding the spiritual lives of the unbelievers to become the true believers of CHRIST.
Some Liberians who spoke to the GNN-Liberia regarding the professional services of George B. Kailondo over the years lauded his generosity, and systematic approach to the growth and development of his business over the years as compare to other youthful Liberians business individuals who they noted did not reach that far due to their role of mismanagement of their businesses which eventually led to closure.
“We are proud of George Kailondo for his consistency in keeping his business wheel endlessly turning, I am indeed proud of this young Liberian business executive,” Esther Dickerson Paul, a resident of Oldest Congo Town speaking to the GNN-Liberia said.
His Company, the Kailondo Group of Companies including Kailondo Petroleum (KP) is a member of the Kailondo International Group of Companies. KP is a registered business established under the Laws of Liberia and is one of the few privileged companies licensed for the importation of Petroleum Products, and the Distributors of Petroleum Products on the Liberian Market.
His company’s nomination as one of the respected business entity in Liberia was predicated upon its performance in the petroleum sector over the last decade both in the distribution and retail ends, and has established itself as a strong clientele of major end users in construction, energy, NGO and private sectors. The marketing skill of its professional and trained workforce coupled with the goal to deliver on time the unique services has been regarded as the hallmark of its success in the gas and oil sector.
