VP Taylor is not expel

The former ruling National Patriotic Party (NPP) Secretary General Andrew Peters says Vice President Jewel Howard Taylor remains the Standard Bearer of the Party and was not expelled by anyone as being speculated in the media.

Mr. Peters said those who claim that VP Howard Taylor have been expelled from the party are not member of the Party adding  that nonpartisan does not have the right to expel any member of the party.

Recently an extraordinary session of the National Patriotic Party (NPP) faction under the leadership of embattled James Biney, on Saturday, December 1, unanimously voted to expel Vice President Jewel Howard Taylor from the party.

At that extraordinary session in Bentol City, Montserrado County, Biney faction also expelled Mr. John Gray, the party’s chairman and at the same time agreed that a communication be sent to President George Manneh Weah, telling him to “recall” the two expelled persons, from their governmental posts.

Mr. Peters has described Biney action as waste of time maintaining that Biney does not hold legitimacy in the party and his plans to destabilize the one of Liberia outstanding party in the Coalition for Democratic Change is a failure on his part.

Mr. Peters told our Bong County Correspondent that even though Mr. Biney is not a member of the party, but if any member feels disenchanted about something in the NPP he or she needs to firstly pass through the Grievance and Ethics Committee instead of sitting at the back doors and singlehandedly writing letter of expulsion.

“What I am telling you is that Mr. Biney is not even a flow member of the Party and he does not have any right to write communication to anyone about expulsion of our Standard Bearer” Mr. Peters adds.

The embattled Secretary General of NPP, termed the recent decision by Mr. Biney, who he said does not have the authority to take decision, as illegitimate.

“Under our Constitution, Article 8.4 and 8.8 is clear on carrying on proceedings. What expelled Chairman Biney needed to do is to seek legal redress at the NEC, then jumping up in the morning and grab non-partisans and NPP partisans who are non-stakeholders and give them T-shirts  to go for convention,” he told this paper.

Mr. Peters has stated that the real NPP convention with be Saturday December 8, 2018 in Gbarnga, Bong County where Bono- field partisans of the NPP will decide issues of importance to the Party.

The recent expulsion of the Vice President from her Husband’s party has raised tension in Bong County with majority members of the NPP describing the situation as great regret.

On the other hand, the NPP Secretary General has promised to field a lawsuit against Alexander Flomo who claims to be the Chairman of the Party in Bong County.

Mr. Peters described Mr. Johnson alleged impersonation as criminal in nature adding that the NPP does not recognize Mr. Johnson as Chairman in Bong County unless Representative Josiah Marvin Cole.

Mr. Peters said that he will ensure that Mr. Johnson gets arrested and face prosecution for lying that he is the Chairman of the party in Bong County.

When contacted by our Bong County Correspondent, Mr. Alexander Johnson stated that instead of Mr. Peters filing lawsuit against him, he will take Mr. Peters to court for always insulting him.

When quizzed by our Corresponded as to whiter he has ever stated that he is the Chairman of the party in Bong, Mr. Johnson said he is the party Chairman in Bong who was elected.
