Violence Erupts At Voting Precinct 30409, CDC Acarous Gray Accused

Riot police of the Liberia National Police stormed one of the precinct centers in central Monrovia, G. W. Gibson school campus to abort serious tension between former member of the House of Representatives, Acarous Gray of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) and the newly elected Representative Prince Toles of District 8, Montserrado County.

According to information gathered by the GNN, the tension started when the former representative of the district arrived at the center based on information that  representative elect, Prince Toles was asking voters to display their voting cards, before voting this, according to Gray angered him.

Other sources told our reporter that the entire drama started when it was noticed that people were voting multiple times at the center, while others came in dressed in the form of women, this our source said made Representative elect Prince Toles to request election workers to call the names of those who were opting to vote, this request was turned down by Gray and his supporters.

During the tension, according to sources, riot police of the LNP was called in to save the day. While at the same time the former President of Nigeria, Gooluck Johnathan arrived on the scene to  speak to the voters.

However, this was first violence noticed during the ongoing election in Monrovia.
