Rep. Snowe Submits Roads Authority Bill To Legislature

(LINA) – Bomi County District #1 Representative, Edwin Melvin Snowe, has submitted a bill to establish the National Road Authority (NRA) to the plenary of the House of Representatives.
According to Representative Snowe, the objective of the National Road Authority is to ensure that all roads constructed meet international standards.
Representative Snowe said the NRA will also provide job opportunities for citizens and will help the Ministry of Public works to implement standard road projects.
He said as the CDC-led Government is focusing on road construction, the proposed National Roads Authority bill will buttress the government’s efforts in this direction.
The Bomi County lawmaker said if the bill is passed into law and NRA is create,d it will work with the Ministry of Public Works to enhance the country’s development agenda.
The bill was read in plenary on Thursday and sent to the requisite committees to report to plenary within two weeks.
