Press Union of Liberia Opens Book of Condolence for Late Journalist, Buxton Davis
The Press Union of Liberia mourns the passing of its esteemed member, Journalist Buxton Davis, also known as “Thirty Eight.” A book of condolence will be opened tomorrow, Thursday, October 19, 2023, in honor of the late journalist.
Journalist Davis, alias 38, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Central Street, Monrovia, on Sunday, October 15, 2023. The Union expresses deep sorrow over his untimely demise and extends heartfelt condolences to his bereaved family and the entire media community.
Throughout his distinguished career, Journalist Davis made significant contributions to the field of journalism. He worked with prominent media outlets such as Radio Liberia, Kiss FM, Informer Newspaper, and served as the Managing Editor at New Era Newspaper. His unwavering dedication and passion for journalism were evident, making him a role model for aspiring professionals.
The Press Union of Liberia encourages everyone to seek solace in the Lord during this difficult time, as the loss of Journalist Davis has left a void in the journalistic community.
Furthermore, the Union announces that a book of condolences will also be opened in honor of the late journalist Buxton Davis on Friday, October 19, 2023, at 11:45 a.m., at the Press Union of Liberia headquarters. All Union members, media professionals, and the general public are invited to attend and pay their last respects.
A funeral service to commemorate the passing of Buxton Davis, alias 38, will be held at the A.B. Anderson Funeral Home on Lynch Street at 10:30 am. Following the service, internment will take place in Brewerville.
