President Weah’s Second Term Bid Swells, As Six Opposition Political Parties Sign Joint Resolution

The occasion was colorful, and the venue was the headquarters of the opposition People’s Liberation Party (PLP) on Saturday, the 10th of March, 2023, when six heads of opposition political parties resolved to sign a Joint Resolution affording them to politically throw their full weight behind the second term bid of President George Manneh Weah in the upcoming October 10, 2023 poll.

The six political parties with their respective chairpersons that civilly endorsed the presidential bid in a grand coalition for Democratic Change included: the People’s Liberation Party (LPP),  the Movement for Economic Empowerment (MOVEE),  The Union of Liberian Democrats ( ULD), the United People’s Party (UPP), Redemption Democratic Congress (RDC)  and Change for Democratic Action (CDA} with their  respective heads signed the Joint Resolution expressing their full support for the re-election bid of President George Manneh Weah at the upcoming October 10, 2023 poll.

Also at the program were the National Chairman of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC), Mulbah Morlu, Jr., and Jefferson Koijee, Secretary General who appeared overjoy also made remarks expressing gratitude to the exodus opposition political parties for the endorsement of President to be re-elected at this 2023 poll for his second term bid.

Earlier, the National Chairman of the People’s Liberation Party (PLP), Bernard Benson alias ‘DJ Blue’ in his welcome remarks for the gathered parties and their executive who had converged  at the headquarters of the PLP by taking up time to pledge their overwhelming support to the CDC in the re-election bid of President George Weah.

At the program jubilant supporters and members of the six respective opposition political parties that signed the Joint Resolution were seen joyfully singing pro-songs for their respective political parties, the gathering was overwhelmed with CDC T-shirts bearing the photo of President Weah as they danced and sang songs depicting the victory of President Weah come October 10.
