Liberian Journalists In High Gear For Grand Kru To Celebrate World Press Freedom Day

Liberian journalists in their state as they depart for Grand Kru County to celebrate World Press Freedom Day on Monday, May 3, 2021

As hundreds of Liberian journalists preparing to join their colleagues in celebrating the historic World Press Freedom Day, which is been arranged by the Press Union of Liberia (PUL) scheduled to officially take place in the southeastern City of Barclayville, Grand Kru County.

Since yesterday, April 29, 2021, a queue of vehicles filled with journalists and well-wishers in their numbers departed Monrovia for the World Press Freedom Day which is observed on May 3rd of each year.

Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, HonCllr. Jonathan Fonati Koffa who is also Grand Kru County District #2 Representative will serve as Keynote Speaker at the program, while other officials of government in the county will also fond part of this colorful occasion.

Auxiliaries of the Press Union of Liberia including the Reporters Association of Liberia, the Female Journalists Association of Liberia (FeJAL), and others associated organizations will form part of the celebration at which time a parade will by members of the Union will take place on the principle streets of Barclayville.
