LIBERIA: Nathaniel McGill’s Woe Deepens, As Christians In Margibi County Kicks Against His Senatorial Bid

As 2023 October 10 campaign intensifies for presidential and legislative elections, some Christians in Margibi County have resolved to thwart the Senatorial bid of the former Minister of State for Presidential Affairs, Nathaniel Falo McGill, who was sanctioned by the United States Department last year for ‘Massive Corruption’.

According to report on social media early last week indicated that a cross section of Christians in the county are warning against electing sanctioned senatorial candidate Nathaniel McGill, and further called Liberians not to support sanctioned individuals vying for elected offices in the ensuing October 10 elections.

Their call is in apparent response to the decision of the ruling Collation for Democratic Change to allow Nathaniel McGill and Bill Twehway contest on their ticket in Margibi and River Cess Counties Senatorial elections.

Reading the position statement Wednesday in Kakata, the group Spokesman, Pastor Morris Fahn said despite the sanctioned individuals having their constitutional right to contest, they as Christians need to uphold morality and discourage corruption in Liberia.
