LIBERIA: Maryland County PUL Chapter Celebrates 56th Anniversary In Grand Style

Dozens of journalists in Maryland County this Wednesday, September 30, 2020 joined their colleagues in the observing of the Press Union of Liberia 56th Anniversary in Pleebo, Maryland County with a parade through the principle streets of Pleebo City.

The colorful program was climaxed with football match between the Pleebo District Health Team and the Maryland County Chapter of the Press Union of Liberia the football game which ended in a goalless draw.

According to our Maryland County Correspondent, an official indoor program was held at the Rogee Guest House in Pleebo City, Meanwhile, the occasion brought together eight Radio stations in the County include,  Radio Harper 91.9FM, Radio Phoenix 102.7FM, Cape Rock Radio 101.2FM,  SEAL Radio, 90.5FM,  Voice of Truth 95.5FM, Voice of Hope 103.2FM, Voice of Pleebo 93.5FM, and Voice of Karluway.

During the celebration of the anniversary in Maryland County with a  brief history of the Union was read by Phebe D. Jeh one of the reporters of  Voice of Truth Radio in Pleebo, she elaborated that the Press Union of Liberia was founded in Monrovia on September 30, 1964, and it is the Unbrella Organization serving Librarian media professional and institutions.

The Guest Speaker at the program was Meshach V.Neuville who explained the important, and road of Journalists in the Society today, while the Coordinator of Maryland County PUL Chapter, Bryan B.Dioh said  Journalists should always report factual, balance,  credible, and reliable information, noting,                                            “I am happy today for my life, and the support you have given me in Maryland county as your PUL coordinator, the National celebration is in  Bomi County since indeed Maryland county is far away we decided to celebrate the anniversary Locally.
