As President Weah Clocks 54, NASSCORP Success Story Amplifies
Yesterday, October 1st, 2020 was a joyful day for all Liberians as their25th President George Manneh Oppong Weah colorfully celebrated his 54th birth anniversary at his residence in the Rehab Community, Paynesville, outside the nation’s capital, Monrovia.
President Weah who was born on October 1st, 1966 was on January 22, 2018, sworn in as Liberia’s twenty-fifth president; prior to his election, he served as Senator of Montserrado County. Yesterday’s occasion saw hundreds of well-wishers trooping to the residence of the Liberian leader to pay their respect, and congratulate him for his natal day.
The Liberian leader, President George Manneh who is enjoying his two years of his first six years tenure at the country’s foremost office of the presidency has uniquely performed perfectly in meeting the demands of the people through the implementation of several developmental projects that have brought pride to nation and its peoples.
One of those institutions that are progressively making sure that the president’s quest for development is achieved is the National Social Security & Welfare Corporation (NASSCORP); its numerous achievements have overwhelmed the developmental initial of the CDC-led government of President George Manneh Weah by exclusively bringing about structural developments that have brightened the physical growth of Liberia.
NASSCORP State-Of-The Art Diagnostic Center
A modern state of the art diagnostic center, the Jahmale Med’s Solution funded by the National Social Security & Welfare Corporation (NASSCORP) and officially dedicated on January 19, 2018 by the former Liberian leader, Madam Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, just before her tenure passed on January 22, 2018 as President of the Republic of Liberia.
This diagnostic center with all of the sophistications medically has gradually helped many Liberians, and foreign residents who could not afford to seek further treatment abroad; this initiative by NASSCORP increase the effort of the Liberian government in its drive for improved health services to the people of Liberia.
NASSCORP Village
One of NASSCORP’s services to the people of Liberia is the putting into place a village to ease the many challenges being faced with people who are in demand of housing facilities but lacks the financial willpower.
The National Housing Authority (NHA) partnership the National Social Security and Welfare Corporation (NASSCORP) in providing the necessary funding to construct affordable housing units for Liberians was welcomed by many in the completion of phase containing the 70 housing units as suggested that the estate will play host to 163 houses, comprising three and two bedrooms.
This effort by the National Social Security & Welfare Corporation (NASSCORP), has added ardent support to the Liberian government’s quest to providing affordable housing facilities to Liberians.
“At NASSCORP, we are in fulfillment of government’s mandate as to the demand for housing and with the NHA in that area, things are going on well,” said Dewitt Von Balmoos, Managing Director of NASSCORP during a chat with journalists at the colorful dedication of NASSCORP Village.
