Timothy Weah savoured a dream debut goal for Celtic on Saturday and described the atmosphere at a half-full Parkhead as ‘insane’.
The teenager, signed on loan from Paris Saint-Germain until the end of the season, came off the bench to round off the scoring in Celtic’s 3-0 Scottish Cup win over Airdrieonians.

He said: ‘It’s probably the best experience I have had, playing in front of those Celtic fans. When I scored, it was like something out of a dream. If this is just the minimum, that’s insane. I can’t imagine how it is when it’s full. It’s crazy.’
Weah will be in contention to start when Celtic pick up their Premiership campaign with a home game against St Mirren in midweek and revealed he is expecting his father George, a former world player of the year and the president of Liberia, to attend a match in Glasgow next month.
‘I think he should be coming in February, around my birthday,’ added Weah. ‘I can’t wait for him to experience this and see how crazy the fans are and savour the atmosphere when we get a goal.
