Funds For Liberian Scholarship Students Abroad Now Available, Ready For Disbursement – Says Education Ministry

Flash back: Protesting Liberian students in Morocco

The Liberian government through the Ministry of Education says funds for disbursement to Liberian scholarship students abroad is now ready for disbursement to those students concerned.

According to the Minister of Education press statement and aired on state radio, ELBC, said the funds has been made available by the Liberian government and will be disbursed to students studying in China, Morocco, and other parts of the world who are under the Liberian government scholarship programs.

Recently, over 52 of the 84 stranded Liberian scholarship students in Morocco  stormed the Liberian Embassy in that country with their belongings, including mattresses, comforters and suitcases, demanding to speak with their country’s President, Mr. George Weah, for their 10-month allowances.

With this latest information from the Ministry of Education, Liberian students studying abroad on government’s funding scholarship program will now breath a smooth air in getting their allowances for their government.
