Former Police Inspector General, Patrick Sudue Takes Assets Recovery Taskforce To Court

According to a Face Book post on social media, the former Inspector General of the Liberia National Police (LNP), Patrick Sudue has reportedly taken the Assets Recovery Taskforce team to court for wrongfully impounding his private vehicle this week.

In reaction to the Taskforce’s action, the former Police Chief released a snapshot of a document certifying that he legally got the vehicle that was seized by the Taskforce justifiably, and that the action by the Taskforce was wrongfully done.

The Assets Recovery Taskforce under the Chairperson Cllr. Edwin Kla Martin has been impounding several vehicles belonging to the Government of Liberia, with the latest being the former Inspector General of the Liberia National Police, Patrick Sudue.

Effort by GNN-Liberia to speak to the former Police IG via mobile phone regarding his action against the Assets Recovery Taskforce, his phone rang endlessly without response.

However, speaking to the Chairman of the Taskforce, Cllr. Edwin Kla Martin as to whether he is aware of the former Police Chief, Sudue’s court proceeding against the Assets Recovery Taskforce, said he is not aware of any court action against his group

    These criminals are right. By this time, we expected a lot of them to be in court to explain how they fraudulently bought those things at such ridiculous prices? This is the same as corruption.
