‘Leadership Development Coach’, Benedict Tokpa Danuweli Appeals To Countrymen To Vote Responsibly for a Brighter Future
As Liberians crave for peaceful and transparent October 10, 2023 general and presidential elections, who has been described as ‘Leadership Development Coach’, is calling on his fellow compatriots to allow peace to reign, and do away with those vices that will have the propensity to take the country and its people back to those dark days.
Below is Mr. Benedict Tokpa Danuweli’s press statement:
Dear Resilient People of Liberia,
First and foremost, congratulations on maintaining peace in our beloved nation for the past two decades. As we prepare to exercise our democratic rights in the upcoming General and Presidential Elections on October 10th, 2023, it is vital to recognize that democracy is a precious opportunity to shape our future and secure a brighter tomorrow for our children.
To make the most of this crucial moment, I earnestly implore you to reflect on the following considerations:
- Prioritize the Greater Good: Remember that no single political party or the combined interests of all political groups can outweigh the collective interests of every Liberian. As the old adage goes, “If you are the only rich person in your community, you’re at a high risk of soon becoming poor like everybody else with time.” Vote with the greater good in mind, for it is within our communities that we historically thrive. Base your decision on the principles of shared prosperity rather than the narrow agenda of any one party.
- Choose Candidates Who Care: Ensure that the candidates you support genuinely care about the issues that plague our communities, such as drugs, poverty, insecurities, and corruption. Vote for individuals who have consistently demonstrated their commitment to addressing these challenges. Electing leaders who disregard our concerns would only empower them to further exploit us and our children.
- Assess Competence: Evaluate the competence of your chosen candidates. Do not be swayed solely by their passion; instead, ensure that they possess the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to lead effectively and empower our communities.
- Evaluate Trustworthiness: Can you trust the candidates you are considering? Investigate whether they have a robust personal value system in place. Assess whether their actions align with their words, and seek consistency in their behavior and promises.
Liberians, this is a pivotal moment in our history. Let us rally together to mend the fabric of peace and place Liberia at the forefront of our priorities when we cast our votes. Elect responsible leaders who genuinely care about our communities and the future of our children. Choose individuals who possess the competence to lead us toward collective prosperity and whose personal values we can trust.
May God bless Liberia as we embark on this crucial journey, united in our commitment to a brighter future for all.
