By Amos Harris
The United Wedjah Community in Montserrado County and surrounding areas is preparing to honor its newly elected officials at a gathering designed to foster unity, strengthen community ties, and advance a shared agenda for sustainable development.
The event is scheduled for Thursday, November 5, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Gardnerville Town Hall in Gardnerville, Montserrado County. The ceremony will bring together community members, traditional leaders, local stakeholders, and supporters to formally recognize the leadership team and recommit to local development goals.
At the center of the occasion is T. Maxwell Davis, Chairman of the United Wedjah Community, who will be recognized alongside fellow elected officers. The leadership roster includes Vice Chairman Patrick Saydee Teiah, Secretary General Makey Sologbulu Soloe, Queen Justina F. Worjloh, Financial Secretary Alonso Jelleh, and Chaplain Pastor George Doewleh Jr.
The gathering aims to give residents an opportunity to engage with their elected representatives and foster stronger collaboration between the community and its leadership. Organizers emphasize that the event will underline the principles of accountable governance, civic participation, and shared responsibility in addressing local challenges.
Centering on the theme of building a brighter and more prosperous Wedjah community, the event will highlight key priority areas, including unity, youth empowerment, job creation, road infrastructure, and educational opportunities. Community leaders note that creating pathways for youth participation remains essential for economic progress and social stability.
Infrastructure improvements and enhanced access to education also feature prominently in the community’s long-term plan. Leaders point out that reliable roads improve transport and trade, while expanded educational access equips young people with the skills necessary for meaningful employment and civic engagement.
Beyond developmental goals, the occasion aims to reinforce peaceful coexistence and mutual respect among residents under the slogan, “One Community, One Vision, One Future.” The leadership team plans to use the platform to reaffirm its commitment to transparent governance and open dialogue with constituents.
Blotaweh Changbe, Political Leader and Chairman of the Inaugural Committee, is expected to deliver key remarks centering on unity, accountability, and collective progress.
As preparations proceed, members of the United Wedjah Community are being encouraged to attend and participate in the proceedings, driving home the message that sustainable community development relies on active cooperation between leaders and the citizens they serve.
