MONROVIA, LIBERIA — The Center for National Documents and Records Agency (CNDRA), Liberia’s National Archives, has launched a two-day staff capacity-building workshop for county coordinators to strengthen records management and enhance service delivery across the country’s 15 political subdivisions.

The training session, which commenced on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at the CNDRA headquarters in Monrovia, brings together regional coordinators from Gbarpolu, Grand Cape Mount, Rivercess, Margibi, and Grand Kru counties.

The refresher workshop focuses on key administrative and operational functions, including human resource management, customer service standards, outstation operational protocols, technical record-keeping services, the processing of legal instruments, and internal audit compliance.

Delivering the opening remarks, CNDRA Director General D. Nelson Bearngar urged participants to fully engage with the modules and apply the knowledge acquired to elevate service quality at their respective county offices.

Director General Bearngar emphasized that upgrading the technical and administrative skills of county-level personnel is vital for maintaining operational efficiency and ensuring consistent, high-quality public service nationwide.

He further disclosed that similar capacity-building initiatives will be rolled out across all 15 counties as part of the agency’s strategic drive to empower its workforce, build institutional resilience, and streamline program implementation.

The initiative highlights the National Archives’ commitment to professional development, robust document management, and the effective decentralization of public services to ensure citizens nationwide enjoy seamless access to archival resources.

The two-day training exercise is scheduled to conclude on Friday, October 16, 2026.
