VLCC tanker Captain died on board during voyage

VLCC tanker WEN YAO reported Master’s death on Dec 27, while sailing off Kochi port, India, Arabian sea. Tanker ballasting from Singapore to UAE interrupted her voyage and sailed to Kochi Anchorage, where she anchored in the afternoon Dec 28.

Body of 43-year-old Captain, of Indian nationality, was transferred to hospital, understood he died from illness, no foul play suspected. As of evening Dec 28, tanker remained anchored at Kochi anchorage.
