Tubman University Puts Out 7th Graduates, As Dr. Bropleh Urged Graduates To Be Good Ambassadors

The Tubman University in southeastern Liberia, specifically in Maryland County has put out its 7th graduation with 264 students graduating from difference departments of the University including, Colleges of Health Sciences, College of Management and administration, College of Agriculture and Food Sciences,  College of Engineering and Technology, College of Education and College of Arts and Sciences.

The colorful program which was held on the main campus of the University in Harper drew dozens of well-wishers, parents, friends and relatives of the graduates to witness the occasion; the acting Board Chair of the University, Dr. Francis Kateh administered the oath.

The President of the University, Professor Elliot Wreh Wilson during the occasion gave the overview of the academic year 2019/2020, highlighting some of the  major challenges encountered by the University including the lack of proper internet services, and the issue of salary harmonization among others.

Making his presentation Professor Wilson noted, “The University is experiencing serious problem on the internet system but the Administration is doing all in its power to have a good internet system on this campus, hopefully beginning next semester, I am however grateful to God for those instructors who listened to us during the Salary harmonization”, Professor Wilson lamented.

For his part the valedictorian, student Emmanuel D Morris of the College of Agriculture and Food Sciences, said the destiny of Liberia is in the hands of the students, stating in his speech that the government of Liberia should consider agriculture as economy growth and poverty reduction in Liberia.

“I am deeply honored today to be the Valedictorian of this class, let me on behave of my fellow graduates extend our deepest thanks and appreciation to the administration, the instructional staff, our parents for their   efforts made during our study”, the Tubman University 2020/2021 valedictorian said.

Addressing graduates, the Keynote Speaker, Dr. Laurence Konmla Bropleh speaking on the theme: “Tubman University on quality Education for Economic Development in the midst of Covid-19 and Technological Challenges” told the graduates that success is not something that you arrived at the same day, graduates let me inform you today as you are graduating from the walls of  this University discovering who you are beyond this ceremony is to begin where you are for the growth and development of your Country Liberia,” Dr. Laurence Konmla Bropleh told the graduates.
