Authoritative source has hinted the GNN that plans are reportedly underway to lease the beautifully placed Lake PISO to some Ukrainian investors for a considerable period of years to build a resort that will showcase the beauty of this great lake which is situated Robertsport, Grand Cape Mount County in western Liberia.
According to GNN investigation, the Ukrainian investors have already been contacted by this official in the Liberian government whose identity will be released in our next publication made this arrangement prior to the war in Ukraine under what is believed to be individual arrangement without the input of the Chief Executive, President George Manneh Weah. Efforts by the GNN to contact authorities at the Ministry of Information, Cultural Affairs and Tourism (MICAT), the
ministry responsible for tourists in the country through its Assistant Minister Tourism did not materialize following series of visits today, but however our investigation continues.
When our Grand Cape Mount County Correspondent was contacted as to the facts regarding this report, it was revealed that authority in the county are unaware of the Lake being given out to investors for tourists purposes or to be able to modernize the Lake for incoming tourists.
GNN is doing everything possible to find out who is this government official that have reportedly made such arrangement for Ukrainian tourists to take over the Lake, our source will dip out the main individual behind such plan.
It has reliably learnt that some of these reported government officials sometimes do things to enrich themselves at the detriment of the majority, and at most times without the concern of the Liberian presidency, but however, when these things happen it is the presidency will be locally and internationally looked at as leader of our country
