As the issue of constant rape of minors including boys and girls in Liberia, thousands of Liberians are expected to march throughout the principle streets of Monrovia, and also in Barclayville, Grand Kru County to call on the Liberian government for the end of this heinous crime.
According to report, more than 600 Cases of Rape, Sodomy, Abuses have been reported during the outbreak of the COVID-18 pandemic, a situation that has created serious amongst Liberians and rights advocates who have planned to stage a peaceful protest on August 21, 2020 drawing the attention of the Liberian government and the international community.
The perpetrators of such heinous crime range from men of God to police officers has taken over the entire country with many of the victims being children as young as three years old are been abused by many ten times older than them.
The next week peaceful march against rape in Liberia is expected to bring together thousands of women whose children have been abused by uncivilized individuals, whose motive of committing such heinous act is still unknown.
Liberia, currently ranked 177th out of 188 countries in the annual Gender Inequality Index is poised to see more decline in the wake of measures aimed at containing the spread of COVID-19.
