This is the black box from doomed Ethiopian Airlines flight

A newly released photo shows one of the mangled black boxes from the doomed Ethiopian Airlines jet that crashed, killing 157 people on board.
The data recorder and voice recorder from the Sunday flight arrived in France Thursday and will be analyzed by the country’s Bureau of Enquiry and Analysis for Civil Aviation Safety (BEA), which released the photo.
Investigators hope the black boxes will be able to provide critical information into what caused the Boeing 737 MAX 8 jet to plummet to the ground six minutes after taking off from the Ethiopian capital of Addis Ababa.
The photo of the data recorder shows part of it damaged.
BEA spokesman Sebastien Barthe told The Associated Press that it is unclear whether its data is retrievable.
Technical work on the recorders is slated to start on Friday, the BEA said.
