LIBERIA: Tebeh Football Academy Trains Upcoming Soccer Legends

It was fantastic and entertaining when kids as young as 9-year-old showing up their soccer talents at the newly built Invincible Sports Pitch.

The under 12 and under 15 kids are being nurtured and trained under mentorship of the Tebeh Football Academy, the soccer academic institution owned by Mr. Trokon Roberts, head of the Executive Protection Service (EPS).

Speaking in an exclusive interview with GNN during a practice period of the kids to face another team at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium in Central Monrovia on Saturday, May 22, 2022, Mr. Roberts said due to his passion for football, he established the academy a year ago in honor of his late mother, Mrs. Tebeh Johnson Roberts.

He further disclosed that currently several young kids from the ages of 9 to 15 years are being trained by professional soccer coaches who are regularly paid to mentor these upcoming soccer stars.

Our staff who witnessed the practice of the children, said he was impressed with the level of soccer performances been demonstrated by these young kids, particularly one of the nine years old kids, Shades Kilima a  2nd grade student at one of the local schools in Paynesville community said he love the game, and will one day play in Europe.
