The current Chairman of the Collaborating Political Parties (CPP), Mr. Alexander Cummings has lashed at the Liberian leader, President George M. Weah for blaming the oppositions in the country on his misfortune in the alleged mismanagement of the country.
Mr. Cummings who is also the political leader of the Alternative National Congress (ANC) made the statement recently in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County at a welcoming program of the party’s new members in Buchanan, noting that it is disappointing for a leader to keep blaming opposition political parties for his failure, noting, “That alone demonstrates the weakness of President Weah as leader of the State,” Mr. Cummings noted.
Cummings noted that they have offered suggestions to the president, but he has not used any of the recommendations on grounds that it comes from the opposition belt.
Mr. Cummings who contested for the Liberian presidency in 2017 said President Weah is a weak leader that’s why he’s always in the habit of blaming people for his failure.
“A good and strong leader sees criticism as a conduit to strengthen his leadership, but the president sees it as problem and embarrassment for his job,” Mr. Cummings stressed. He said President Weah should learn to find solution to the many problems the country is faced with and stop blaming people for his failure on addressing issues that affects the country.
Meanwhile, the ANC leader is calling on Weah to stop shifting blame; adding that the president controls the resources of the country which he needs to use wisely improve the lives of citizens.
