Residents Of Grandcess City Joyously Laud Liberian Government for Road Rehabilitation

The residents of Grandcess City in Grand Kru County are commending the Liberian Government for the rehabilitation of the Grandcess/Big Suehn road, a situation they said has brought relief in their day to movement.

Speaking tin an interview with the GNN in the County, the City Mayor of  Grandcess, Francis Charlie, said they are practically happy, because people across Grand Kru County can now easily access the Rally Time Hospital, the county biggest referral medical hospital facility.

The Grandcess City Mayor speaking to our Correspondent on Thursday, July 9, 2020 emphasized that, the rehabilitation of the road is part of an efforts by the residents, aimed at spreading the gains made by the Liberian Government’s pro-poor Agenda for prosperity and development.

He further added that, the road completion will now open commercial traffic and other developmental initiatives in Grandcess City and its surrounding areas, and also disclosed that the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC)-Government and partners have also constructed major Bridges and replaced timber bridges with concrete ones that have, over the years, made the road deplorable.

The Mayor Charlie said, the active participation of SSF including other construction companies is a clear indication that Liberian companies, when given the opportunities, can perform as much as their international counterparts, adding, . “We need to work with companies like SSF because they will always be here to maintain our roads,” he said.

He told our staff that the Liberian Government has over the years invested lots of money in the road projects, and lauded the construction company, SSF, for its contribution to infrastructure development of the county.

“It is a big victory for all of us…and we want to thank God for His blessings for this road,” the Grandcess City Mayor said, and also expressed thanks and appreciation to county officials and the construction company, SSF Entrepreneur, including other construction companies in the county for working together to make the road project to reached the city of Grandcess.

“Once more,” he asserted, “SSF has demonstrated its commitment to the partnership with Government of Liberia by nearly completing another road entrusted to the management of SSF.”

“The successful completion of the pavement of  roads to the satisfaction of the Government and community residents will contribute to the government’s plan for Infrastructure development and poverty reduction in Liberia,” Mayor Charlie said.
