REFLECTION: GNN-Liberia 24th Personalities Awards – 2022

Ahead of the upcoming 25^th personalities awards by the management and staff of Global News Network, publishers of GNN-Liberia newspaper and www.gnnliberia.com online, the management of pleased to publicly reflect on our last year’s award ceremony in pictures.

At our last year ceremony, the former United States Ambassador accredited to Liberia, H.E. Michael A. McCarthy was name as GNN Liberia’s Man of the year – 2022; his quest to see Liberia, Africa’s oldest independent country graduate from the state of rampant corruption, and growing wave of cultural impunity in Liberia nowadays, while Madam Brenda Moore was named as Woman of the Year 2022.

Joel Cholo Brooks is a Liberian journalist who previously worked for several international news outlets including the BBC African Service. He is the CEO of the Global News Network which publishes two local weeklies, The Star and The GNN-Liberia Newspapers. He is a member of the Press Union Of Liberia (PUL) since 1986, and several other international organizations of journalists, and is currently contributing to the South Africa Broadcasting Corporation as Liberia Correspondent.
