Palestinian teen critically injured by Israeli undercover forces in Jerusalem
JERUSALEM (Ma’an) — A Palestinian teen was shot and injured by Israeli undercover forces inside the Shufat refugee camp in occupied East Jerusalem, late Thursday.
Spokesperson of the Fatah movement in Shufat refugee camp, Thaer Fasfous, told Ma’an that Israeli undercover police forces chased four Palestinian teens before opening fire at them.
One of the teens was injured with a live bullet.
Fasfous identified the teen as Muhammad Issam al-Qawasmi, adding that he was injured with a live bullet that entered through his back and out of his abdomen.
Al-Qawasmi’s condition was reported as critical as he was transferred to the HaDassa Hospital for treatment.
The teen was detained by Israeli forces before entering operation room at the hospital as they handcuffed him to the bed despite his critical condition.
Hebrew-language news outlets reported that three teens had thrown Molotov cocktails at the Pisgat Zeev illegal settlement road, before Israeli undercover forces injured one of them and detained the two others.
