Orange Liberia CEO arrested, as Information Minister Eugene Nagbe says Mamadu Coulibaly is a person of interest

Following the arrest of the Chief Executive Officer of Orange Liberia GSM Company, Mamadou Coulibaly who was ordered arrested by the National Security Agency (NSA), and the Liberia National Police officers is reportedly been questioned for his connection to yesterday, June 24, 2020 protest staged by members of the Council of Patriots which led to the burning of tyres.

Confirming the information, Liberia’s Minister of Information, Lenn Eugene Nagbe said the Orange CEO was arrested as a person of interest, he also disclosed  that based on information gathered linked Mr. Coulbaly to yesterday’s violence.

In a related development, several persons who took part in yesterday’s violence have been arrested for questioning, the head of the police public relations Moses Carter speaking a local radio station said. Carter said those arrested will be investigated and turn over to the appropriate authority when found guilty.
