NYPD: Man Fatally Shot by Police After Stabbing Partner with Knife

NEW YORK – The New York City Police Department is investigating a deadly officer-involved shooting Friday morning on the Lower East Side.
According to police, it all began just before 7 a.m. when officers from the 7th precinct responded to a 911 call from a person who stated their domestic partner had barricaded them inside a bathroom in their sixth floor apartment located at 227 Cherry Street.
As officers entered apartment they called out to a male suspect who was hiding in a closet.
