National Port Authority Signs Training Agreement with Regional Maritime University

In a groundbreaking move for Liberia’s seaport sector, the Managing Director of the National Port Authority (NPA), Hon. Sekou A. M. Dukuly, has signed a significant training agreement with the Regional Maritime University (RMU) in Accra, Ghana. The agreement will allow NPA employees to undergo specialized training in areas such as forklift and crane operations, among other key port activities, at a 50% discounted rate.

The signing ceremony was attended by the NPA’s Harbor Master, Captain Samuel Momolu Lynch, and the Executive Director for Governmental and International Affairs, Hon. Sekou B. Korleh. As a member of the RMU, Liberia will now have access to numerous benefits, including world-class maritime training.

“This agreement marks a significant milestone for the NPA and Liberia’s broader port operations,” said Hon. Dukuly. “It is an essential step toward transforming the NPA into a more professional and efficient entity as we work toward positioning Liberia as a leader in global ports and maritime affairs.”

The partnership is set to enhance the NPA’s and its employees’ capabilities, ensuring that Liberia continues to thrive as a key player in the global maritime sector.
