NaFAA Receives High Praise from Commerce Minister for Significant Progress during working visit

Monrovia, Liberia – January 23, 2025: Minister of Commerce and Industry, Hon. Magdalene Dagoseh, recently toured the National Fisheries and Aquaculture Authority (NaFAA) to assess its operations and commend the institution’s remarkable progress.  As a member of the NaFAA Board, Minister Dagoseh observed firsthand the advancements achieved under the leadership of Managing Director, Hon. Emma Metieh Glassco.

During her visit, Minister Dagoseh toured NaFAA’s facilities, expressing admiration for the improved working environment, state-of-the-art laboratory, and modern equipment. She highlighted the upcoming construction of a modern headquarters, emphasizing its potential to further enhance operational efficiency.

“This level of work and commitment demonstrates true patriotism,” Minister Dagoseh remarked. “I am impressed by the progress made at NaFAA and the innovation driving this critical sector. As a board member, I am committed to ensuring that the institution receives the necessary support to sustain and expand these achievements.”

Managing Director Glassco expressed gratitude for the Minister’s visit and reaffirmed NaFAA’s dedication to sustainable fisheries development.
