Prince Charles was photographed with a tear running down his cheek during the procession leading Prince Philip’s coffin to St George’s Chapel. The Prince of Wales walked from Windsor Castle to the church next to his sister Princess Anne. Together, they led the procession, followed by the other 28 guests – including the Queen, who travelled by car in the company of a lady-in-waiting.

Prince Charles appeared to be moved also during the funeral.

As the country and the Royal Family stood united to say their last goodbye to the Duke of Edinburgh, Camilla was spotted squeezing her husband’s hand to support him during this difficult time.

The Prince of Wales was close to tears also this morning, when he was spotted arriving at the Queen’s residence in Berkshire a few hours before the funeral.

Prince Charles was the first member of the Royal Family seen arriving at Windsor Castle to support his mother.
