Police in Gbarnga have charged and sent to court a man believed to be in his late 20s for allegedly murdering one Morris Kamara age 28 in face fights in the Gboveh Hill community Gbarnga Bong County.
The Commander of the Crime Services Division John Kellenso Flomo said it was gathered that on Thursday December 6, 2018 at 10 PM when citizens in the Gboveh community arrested defendant Emmanuel Jechwulu Johnson commonly known as Bob Jechwulu and turned him over to police in Gbarnga for allegedly murdering Morris Kamara on his forehead with stick.
Commander Flomo quoted the community dwellers as saying, after the face-fights the two individuals where asked by citizens what led to their face-fights.
He noted that victim Kamara was the first to explained and he said defendant Emmanuel having a motor bike for him (Kamara) and the bike was arrested an Police officer in the county, but he (Kamara) have been behind defendant Emmanuel, but he (Emmanuel) have been refusing for them to go for his bike, adding during the process that how the victim collapse.
“His alleged action led Kamara unconscious and was later taken to the Joseph Manyango Clinic in Gbarnga and he was later transferred to Phebe hospital where he was pronounced dead by medical doctors,” Flomo said.
According to Flomo based on the information, they immediately dispatched a team of investigators to the Phebe hospital when facts were established the doctors that he died as the result of severe head injury from the physical assault.
He further said the next day on December 7, 2018; they visited the crime scene where eyewitnesses admitted to the commission of the crime by Emmanuel the defendant.
After police investigation, the CSD Boss charged defendant Emmanuel with murder and Monday December 10, 2018 sent him to court for trial.
Also speaking an exclusive interview with this paper defendant Emmanuel said he has no idea leading to death of Morris Kamara.
Defendant Emmanuel wants the 9th Judiciary Circuit Court in Gbarnga to carefully investigate the case and present findings to the public.
