London: Three boys killed as car ploughs into bus stop

Three teenage boys have died after a car mowed them down at a bus stop in west London.

Police were called to Shepiston Lane, Hayes, at 8.41pm on Friday night following reports of a road traffic collision.

Despite the efforts of paramedics, all three boys were pronounced dead at the scene.

The victims were believed to be approximately 16 years old. Next of kin had been informed, said the Metropolitan police, but on Saturday morning formal identification was not yet complete.

A 28-year-old man who was inside the vehicle – a black Audi – was taken under arrest to a west London hospital for treatment. A Met statement said he would be taken into custody once discharged.
