Liberia’s Ambassador To Senegal Is Dead
Liberia Ambassador to Senegal Mary-Ann Fossung is dead, according State Radio, ELBC report today, February 4, 2020. She died in a hospital in Senegal following a brief illness.
The late Ambassador was commissioned May 28, 2019, by President Weah after expressing confidence in her ability to explore new frontiers in Liberia-Senegal relations that would bring mutual benefits to the two countries and its peoples. “You are one of few ambassadors we heard about as doing well for your government and people,” Mr. Weah said.
Amb. Fossung said with over 10 years of experience at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, she would do her best, “and with God above, I will work to overcome would-be challenges for the common good of the Liberian people.”
