Liberian Leader Extols Kingdom Of Norway On “National Day” Celebration

President George Manneh Weah has sent a message of congratulations to the Government and people of the Kingdom of Norway on the occasion commemorating the National Day of that country.

In the message to His Majesty King Harald V of Norway, President Weah extended, on behalf of Liberia, heartfelt congratulations and sincere best wishes to His Majesty Harald V, and through him, to the Government and people of the Kingdom of Norway, as they commemorate this historic milestone.

According to a Foreign Ministry release, while expressing delight over the event, the Liberian leader stated “as we join Your Majesty and the noble people of Norway in commemorating the 205th Anniversary of the signing of Norway’s constitution at Eidsvoll, we note with pleasure that under your guidance, relations between our two countries have taken new and momentous heights mutually beneficial to our respective national interests.”

President Weah further indicated that Norway remains a leading partner in Liberia’s development initiatives, providing much needed resources for the empowerment and advancement of Liberians in various fields.

President Weah further hoped that the bond of friendship subsisting between Norway and Liberia will be strengthened as both leaders explore new spheres of cooperation.

The president also welcomed renewed efforts by Norway to intensify the preservation of the environment, women and children empowerment as well as peace in the world.

The Liberian leader wished for His Majesty King Harald V, good health, happiness, long life and prosperity.

President Weah then prayed that the people of Norway continue to enjoy the blessings of peace, unity and spiraling prosperity under the dynamic leadership of King Harald.
