Despite of the hullabaloo of the Liberian leader, President George Manneh Weah’s acquisition of uncountable wealth since his ascendancy as Africa’s oldest republic, Liberia a little over a year now with one of his latest grasp, a modern yacht to be used for his presidential comfort.
A luxury yacht is a watercraft used for pleasure or sports, according to report on average, a 100-meter superyacht with a top speed of 25 knots and 50 crew members should cost around $275 million, it is not known as to whether the reported President’s Yacht cost is being put at that level.
The photo of the President latest property has been posted on social media as Liberians, many of whom who are drowning in abject due to economic hardship are wondering as to their fate in the coming years under the leadership of President Weah.
Other photos being posted on social media for the President’s pleasurable convince including the already built home theater, and the purchase of thousands of acres of land in Monrovia and its environs with the intent of becoming one of Africa’s youngest and richest presidents.
Some Liberians who spoke to the GNN in an exclusive interview are still questioning the President as how did he get his financial power to acquire all of these properties in a shortest period of time, while majority of his citizens are struggling daily for survival.
“This President is indeed rich, no noise will make him to stop doing what he is doing; the issue of the gigantic houses built by this president in a short period time has been forgotten. Just forget it nothing will stop him from doing his own thing,” Abraham Johnson, a resident of central Monrovia speaking to the GNN added.
