Liberian Envoy Presents Letters of Credence To Queen Margrethe Of Demark
Liberia’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Demark, Ms. Youngor Telewoda has presented her Letters of Credence to Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II, of the Kingdom of Demark thus accrediting her to the Kingdom.
According to a Foreign Ministry release, the presentation of credentials was held at the Amalienborg Palace, Chr, VII’s Palais on Monday, May 6.
Ambassador Telewoda’s presentation of credential has given new impetus to the special relations between the Republic of Liberia and the Kingdom of Demark and has undoubtedly laid the foundation for increased bilateral corporation in the political, economic and cultural fields, the release said.
Following the presentation ceremony, Ambassador Telewoda held meetings with authorities of the Danish Government, reflecting on the Danish bilateral and multilateral assistance to Liberia; particularly, its support to UNMIL as well as humanitarian assistance it rendered during the Ebola outbreak in Liberia.
The ties also reflect the Danish government’s assistance towards the construction of the APM Terminals which plays a significant role in job creation for Liberians at the Free Port of Monrovia.
Meanwhile, a dispatch from the Kingdom of Denmark says a couple of Danish companies have announced their preparedness to offer solid experience to the renewable energy solutions, energy efficiency and the agro-industry in Liberia.
Ambassador Telewoda brings a wealth of experience in the field of diplomacy and leadership to the new post, having served previously at both bilateral and multilateral levels as Ambassador to Japan; with co-accreditation to Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, the Kingdom of Thailand and New Zealand from 2011 to 2017.
Her current posting is in the Federation Republic of Germany as ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
