LIBERIA: Weah gets Big Boost in Bong

Bong County citizens have lauded President George Weah for his timely intervention in the completion of the Gbarnga dusty street in the county.

The Bong County citizens many of whom are marketers and motorcyclists said President Weah led government intervention in the pavement of the Gbarnga main street is timely and it has brought total relief to them as citizens.

The Bongese said the Liberian chief executive is indeed truth son of the soil, evident by his many initiatives undertaken since his ascendency to the country highest office under his Pro- Poor Agenda for Prosperity and Development.

The Bong County citizens have vowed to throw their weight behind the Liberian leader in the 2023 general and presidential elections in the county.

The citizens further said they will continuous to pray for the Liberian leader for God to lead him to achieving his Pro-Poor Agenda for Prosperity and Development in the country.

Recently, the Liberian leader instructed the Minister of public works to pave all feeder roads across the country.

After the instruction the Ministry of Public Works hired the Project Construction Incorporated Company to complete the controversial Gbarnga street pavement in Bong County.

It can be recalled in 2015 East International, a Chinese construction firm was contracted by the leaders of the county to pave a 10.6 kilometers road of streets in Gbarnga.

But the 10.6 kilometer road was reduced to 2.314 kilometers due to the lack funding in the county budget.

The 2.314 kilometer pavement starts from the star entertainment station passing through the Gbarnga main street to the one plus one Gas station on the Gbarnga –Ganta highway.

The Bong County administration in consultation with the national government initiated the process with an initial amount of US$ 1.5M from the County Development Fund.

The pavement is currently being initiated by central government; it was captured in President Weah’s community road pavement projects in various parts of the country.

Gbarngo Mulbah, a marketers selling in fish in the Gbarnga central market said President George Manneh Weah will succeed in his administration adding the Liberia leader has proven beyond all border that indeed their standing in the rain and sun wasn’t in vain but a total transformations in the lives of the common people.

“We will always remember you George Weah the poor people President, continue to do the right things,” Mulbah added.
