The College of Management and Administration at William V.S Tubman University has ended its 3rd daylong program entitled “Bridging The Gap” on Saturday, April 24, 2021.
The program brought together faculties from the College of Management and Administration including students, alumni and cross section of administrators and professors at TU.
The Management College at TU contains five departments: Accounting, Banking and Finance, Public Administration, Business and Administration and Economics.
Dr. Moses Geply Dean, College of Management and Administration welcomed the participants and extended thanks and appreciation to the Alumnus Association for their support to the college and emphasized the need for unity amongst the students at TU.
He acknowledged the efforts made by Harper District Representative Hon. P. Mike Jurry towards the growth of the College, and further lauded the effort for his support to our college and the University.
Dr. Geply mentioned that Harper District Representative introduced and sponsored an extra computer training program for students at the College of Management and Administration.
Hon. Jurry hired an IT specialist from Monrovia Mr. Chrisom A. Bethel to train our graduating seniors including some junior students on basic computer programs to include: Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft etc. Since this program was introduced, Hon. Jurry has been one of the brains behind our progress”.
On his part, Harper District Representative Hon. P. Mike Jurry said the program is aimed at bringing students together to share their different experiences.
“We have organized this program to create a cordial working relationship with graduates of the college, faculties and the Alumnus, to allow us to interact, share our experiences and support our college and the University”.
Speaking during the 3rd Bridging The Gap program at TU was Nimba County District # 9 Representative Hon. Johnson N. Gwaikolo who served as the keynote speaker. He spoke on the theme “Integrating Element of General to Bridge The Gap”.
Hon. Gwaikolo acknowledged the Administration of Tubman University for the level efforts they continue to apply ensuring that students in rural parts of Liberia are obtaining higher quality education admits several challenges they might faced.
“I am indeed delighted by the rousing welcome and love you have shown me since I entered Maryland County. I am proud of the professors for their hard works here at Tubman University.
He continued as” Let me also extend my gratitude to Hon: P. Mike Jurry who has invited me to serve as your keynote speaker and he brought me to Maryland County”.
Meanwhile, on behalf of the College Mr. Patrick K. Vandi, Chair of the Department of Public Administration thanked the participants for the turnout and appreciated the keynote speaker Hon. Johnson N. Gwaikolo, Harper District Representative for responding to the call of the college.
This year’s event was held at Tubman Pavilion on the main campus of Tubman University Saturday, April 23, 2021 and was sponsored by Harper District Representative and Alumni Hon: P. Mike Jurry.
