LIBERIA: Prince Moye Tops Senatorial Poll In Bong County, Citizens Vowed To Ascend Him To The Senate

The incumbent Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Representative Prince Moye who is also Representative of Bong County District #  2 is once again puling huge votes in the County after been favored by many of the electorates who have realized selfless his commitment to the growth and development of the County over the years.

Representative Moye who has won two consecutive elections (2011 and 2017), had earlier refused to contest for any legislative seat, but was convinced by elders and youth groups in the County to accept their petition to contest in the December 8 midterm senatorial race, a call he reluctantly accepted, agreeing that the call of the people must be accepted thus joining the queue.

According to preliminary results from the county backed by the National Elections Commission (NEC) provisional results today, December 10, 2020 at a press conference, the Chairperson of NEC, Madam Davidetta Brown Lansana confirmed that Deputy Speaker Prince Moye is leading the poll in Bong County over incumbent Senator, Henry W. Yallah.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with the GNN, some residents of the County bragged that their support to Representative Moye to ascending to the senatorial seat is unbending, noting that works over the years as Representative of District # 2 of Bong County  in the legislature speaks volume; his commitment to national duty has no border, stressing, “We have no regret voting him as our next Senator in the Liberian Senate”, Aaron Flomo, a resident of central Gbarnga City speaking to our staff noted.

Flomo also recounted Deputy Speaking Moye’s developmental initiatives in the County has District $ 2 Representative has no border, adding, “We indeed appreciate him a lot, we believed that ascending to the Senate, Moye will do more for his people”, he concluded.

Also speaking to the GNN, a resident of Phebe Community, Jacqueline Sumo who appeared overjoyed following the announcement of the provisional results by NEC’s Chairperson, that Moye was in a lead in the senatorial poll, remarked, “I am so happy  that this man will be elected as our next Senator, he is the people’s choice; his support over the years for the wellbeing of the people of Bong County has not been wasted, we will vote for him until he ascend to the senate”, she told our reporter in an exclusive interview.
