LIBERIA: President Weah Bitters With Opposition Who Are Calling For Sanctions

Amid calls by opposition politicians for the imposition of sanctions on Liberia, President George Weah has frowned at critics calling for international sanctions on Liberia; says their claims of corruption against his government is not true

According to President Weah, most of his critics perceive that his government is corrupt; a perception that is resulting to their calls for international community to impose sanction on Liberia.

President Weah however committed the government’s willingness to a robust fight against corruption.

The Liberian Leader made the statement on Sunday, during an intercessory service marking Liberia’s 175th Independence Day celebration held at the First Assembly of God Church on Buchanan Street in Monrovia.
