LIBERIA: Opposition Lawmaker Threatens Court Action Against GoL, Demands Payrolls

Monstserrado County District 17 lawmaker, Hon. Hanson Kiazolu has threatened to file a lawsuit against the Government of Liberia if they fail to present payrolls representing all Ministries and Agencies of government.

Representative Kiazolu made the statement to OK FM over the weekend during an exclusive interview.

The Montserrado District 17 lawmaker said, failure on the part of the Ministry of Finance to give justifiable reasons for civil servants salaries reduction, the legislative caucus of the Unity party will pray a Writ of Mandamus to force the Ministry to comply.

In the meantime, Hon. Kiazolu has commended the Senate’s banking and currency committee for rejecting three of President Weah Central Bank nominees.

He accused the Executive Branch of Government of disrespecting members of the Legislature, stating that they failed to recognize the power of the first branch of government
