LIBERIA: New Radio Station For Grand Kru County Soon, The Radio Ahteenah 102.5 FM
The people of Grand Kru County will now have another opportunity to be heard on one of the newest radio stations being established by the Ahteenah Development Corporation after concluding it’s licensing requirements from the Ministry of Information and the Liberian Telecommunication Authority (LTA) for the operation of a broadcast station in Barclayville Grand Kru County.
According to the Mr. Togba Turay, Chairman and General Manager of the Ahteenah Media, the Radio Ahteenah has been assigned the frequency 102.5 and is slated to begin broadcasting on New Year’s Day 2020.
“We are launching a new digital communications media with Radio Ahteenah in 2020 and Ahteenah TV in 2022,” Mr. Tuwray speaking to reporters bragged of this new initiative which he noted is being funded by the County District # 2 representative Jonathan Fonati Koffa.
Mr. Turay also disclosed that Eric Gbasue has been named as the Deputy General Manager and News Director, Eric Gbasue and will return to the County shortly, and further said the station will be located in a temporary facility near the Orange tower in Barclayville and will move to it’s permanent location in early 2022.
