LIBERIA: ‘My Relationship Between President Weah And I Is A Myth’, Professor Jones Dopoe Declares

Following series of murmuring amongst Liberians as to the father of Liberia’s 25th President, George Manneh Weah to be a Liberian traditional musician, Professor Jones Dopoh,broken silence saying such information is a ‘Myth’.

Appearing on a local Breakfast Show on OK FM 99.5 today, October 20, 2020, Dopoe in his early 80s recounted how people have been insinuating that he is the father of President Weah responding to the question, Professor Dopoe cleverly said such information is a myth, and further declined to say detail.

The former professor of the United Methodist University and the Cuttington University, however craved to seek audience with the Liberian leader, noting, “I hope our leader will call me one day, I want to meet with him”, Professor Dopoe speaking further said.

His appearance on the local radio station made dozens of listeners to call in expressing their thanks and appreciation hear on radio their most admired traditional musician, wish him God’s richly blessings upon his life.

Professor Dopoe who claimed he began his early singing career during the eras of Presidents William V. S. Tubman and William R. Tolbert, called on Liberia’s youthful population to be peaceful and law abiding if they are live longer and receive God’s richly blessings.
