LIBERIA: McGill and Tweah To Arrive In Margibi County To Launch Million Dollars Scholarship fund

(Kakata, Margibi Oct. 7. 2021):-In fulfillment of promises made especially towards the financial assistance for students across the country, the Minister of States for Presidential Affairs Nathaniel McGill, and Samuel Tweah, Minister of Finance, Development and Planning, and other government officials are expected to visit Margibi County on Friday October 8, 2021 to officially launch the CDC led-government Pro-poor scholarship fund drive.
Appearing on a local radio station in the county, Margibi County assistance superintendent for development Francis Karpu indicated that the scholarship drive is aimed at alleviating the many challenges parents are usually face with in sending their children to school, ranging from elementary, Jr. and Sr. high schools across the five electoral districts of Margibi county.
Hon. Karpu further, a committee has been setup comprising of educators to spearhead the scholarship fund drive in making sure transparency, accountability and total leadership over its administration.
The Margibi Development boss also use the occasion to call on all traditional leaders, student grouping, marketers, and well-meaning Margibian to turnout in their numbers in giving a warm reception to the CDC led-government.
It can be recalled that students of Bong and Montserrado counties are current beneficiaries of the government Pro-Poor scholarship fund drive, as the government humanitarian initiative is expected to reach out the fifteen political sub-division of Liberia.
