LIBERIA: Maryland Supt. Donates To Youth Group In Harper City, Encouraged Them To Be Law Abiding Citizens

In order to ably empower the young people of the County, the Superintendent of Maryland County, George Prowd donated several items including wheelbarrow, shovel, a bag of 25kg of rice with four Thousand Liberian dollars to the youth group of the Bishop Hill community in Harper.

According to GNN Correspondent, the items were Obendiah Nyanma, during the  presentation  of the items Superintendent Prowd, said this gesture is his own way of identifying with the young people in the Bishop Hill Community in order to ease their Work  as they undertake the rehabilitation of the community roads project,  stressing, “Let me used this opportunity to encourage others young people in Maryland County to do the same as the Bishop Hill Youth Association actively in the rehabilitation of their community roads.

Adding, “You should not always wait for government before doing communities projects,” he told the group. He also said he is prepared to working with all the youth organizations in the County who will be willing to make a positive change.

Concluding, the Superintendent used the occasion to also call on every citizens and residents of Maryland County to adhere to the preventive measures of Covid-19 pandemic.

For his part, the President of the group, Obedianh Nyanma expressed thanks and appreciation to the County Superintendent for his kind gesture towards the Community.
