VOINJAMA, Dec. 11 (LINA) – The Administration of the Lofa County Community College (LCCC) has suspended five students for alleged involvement in the writing of press releases that insulted and falsely accused some administrators of the college.
Students suspended are James Wolobah, Momo Kamara, Emmanuel Akoi, Norris M. Sherriff and Anthony Kringa.
According to LCCC President, Dr. Samuel K. Ngaima, students Emmanuel Akoi, Anthony Krinker and James Wolobah wrote a press release in which they rained insults against some administrators of the college, while in the second press release by students Norris M. Sheriff and Momo Kamara insulted the Vice President for Administration, Dr. Samuel Dumbar.
The five students were suspended on Monday for one semester by the Administration of the Lofa Community College located on the outskirts of Voinjama , the provincial capital of Lofa County.
Speaking to reporters on the campus of the LCCC on Monday, Dr. Ngaima pointed out that the suspension of the five students will serve as a deterrent to others who demonstrate rude behavior, noting that the administration of the College will not relent in taking action against any student found in unwholesome acts at the institution.
In a related development, Dr. Ngaima has donated a set of encyclopaedia to the Lofa County Community College for use by the students.
Dr. Ngaima said the donation was his way of helping to promote research activities, particularly for students who do not have access to the internet.
The LCCC president cautioned students to make maximum use of the library, noting that this is the only way they will make better grades at the College and be prepared for future challenges.
Receiving the encyclopaedia on behalf of the College, the Vice President for Administration, Dr. Samuel Dumber thanked Dr. Ngaima for the kind gesture and assured that the books would be used for the intended purpose.
